Losing a pet can be as painful as the loss of any family member, so much that actually can affects on your mental health.
A study published in the Veterinary Record magazine found that poor pet health has increased the stress and anxiety of the owner and leads to depression.
The survey included 119 people whose pets have health problems and 110 people whose pets are completely healthy.
The researchers then asked their interviewees questions that determine the level of stress, anxiety and depression.
Those with sick animals have had worse results than those whose pet has no health problems.
It also affected the quality of life of the respondents – the owners of the sick animals said they were less satisfied with work and in the connections, adding that their general mood and health were bad.
According to the researchers, this happens to those people because they care for the sick, whether they are animals or people, they are under greater stress and tension.
Although the results of this study did not give a precise answer to the question of the impact of poor pet health on the psychic state of the owners, scientists are not at all surprised by the existence of this influence.
Don’t forget that dog as a pet is more than a friend, because he loves you more than himself.
